Halton Inside and Out conference


April 1st is the Halton Inside and Out conference. Despite it being April Fool's Day the title for this year is "Its no Joke"

The main speaker is Waawaate Fobister

Waawaate Fobister is Anishnaabe from Grassy Narrows, he's an actor and play write whose debut work, Agokwe won 6 Dora Awards in 2009. He's about to start rehearsals for a much anticipated remount. Waawaate Identifies as two spirit and as gay as well as a storyteller. He is the first university graduate in his family, and an amazingly accomplished 25 year old.
