DAY of PINK

April 13th is the Day of Pink. We invite everyone at OTHS to stand up and show their determination to end discrimination.

The International Day of Pink is a day of action, born when a youth in a high school in
Cambridge, Nova Scotia was bullied because he wore a pink shirt to school. His fellow
students decided to stand up to bullying; hundreds of students came to school wearing
pink to show support for diversity and stopping discrimination, bullying and
homophobia.
Moved by this event, the National Capital Region GSA Network (an initiative by Jer’s
Vision: Canada’s Youth Diversity Initiative) decided to share this day with the world by
creating the International Day of Pink.
The goal of DayofPink.org is to spread the message across the world. Anyone can
participate, organize related events and activities. We encourage you to spread the word,
raise your voice, engage your community and help stop discrimination.
